Who we are

Founder Suites Holdings LLC (“Founder Suites,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates foundersuites.com (the “Site”), our membership application, our priority list and our private workspace membership in Leawood, Kansas. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

If you become a member, your membership agreement may include additional terms about information we need to provide the space and services to you. If the two conflict, the membership agreement controls.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Membership applications. Your name, email address, phone number, company, role and website; what you’re building; your business’s annual revenue range and time in business; your goals and focus areas; the kind of workspace you’re looking for, how many people will use it and when you’d like to move in; your answers about values and how you’d contribute; how you heard about us; and anything else you choose to tell us.
• Priority list. Your name and email address.
• Communications. What you send us when you email, call or text us, and our notes from tours and conversations.
• Members. Information needed to provide your membership, such as billing details, building access information and guest registrations.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and device information. We use privacy-focused analytics to understand how the Site is used and how fast it loads. These include pages viewed, the site that referred you, your browser, operating system, device type, approximate location (country or region) and performance measurements. Our analytics do not use cookies to identify you or track you across other websites.
• Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information such as IP addresses and request times to deliver the Site and keep it secure.
• Storage in your browser. While you fill out an application, your answers are saved in your browser for that tab, so you don’t lose your progress. They are cleared when you send the application or close the tab. We also remember, in your browser, whether you’ve closed our priority-list popup. We don’t use advertising cookies.
• Maps. The map on our Site loads map images from a third-party map service, which receives your IP address and browser information when the map loads, as with any web request.

Information from others

If a member, partner or someone else refers you to us, they may share your name and contact details with us.

How we use your information

• To review your application, assess fit and decide whether to invite you for a private tour.
• To contact you about your application, tours, availability and next steps.
• To let you know when a desk or suite opens, if you joined the priority list.
• To provide, manage and bill for your membership, if you become a member.
• To send updates about Founder Suites, events and programs, which you can opt out of at any time.
• To operate, secure and improve the Site, and to prevent spam, fraud and abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights, our members and the space.

Every application is reviewed by a person. We may use simple internal labels to organize applications, but no application is accepted or declined automatically.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

We share personal information only as described here:

• Service providers who help us run the business and act on our instructions, such as website hosting and analytics, database hosting, customer relationship management and messaging tools, internal team communication, email and payment processing. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Professional advisors, such as lawyers and accountants, under duties of confidentiality.
• Legal and safety reasons, when we believe disclosure is required by law or needed to protect the rights, property or safety of Founder Suites, our members or others.
• Business transfers, if Founder Suites is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.
• With your consent, or at your direction.

We do not share mobile phone numbers or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Calls, texts and email

If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your application, a tour or your membership. We send marketing text messages only if you have separately agreed to receive them. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still contact you about an application you sent or a membership you hold.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above. This includes considering you for future openings after an application, unless you ask us not to. We keep member records for as long as the membership lasts and afterward as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect information

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls with reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You may also ask us to stop sending you marketing at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, and we will honor requests as applicable law requires. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will not treat you differently for making one. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Our Site does not track you across other websites, so it does not change its behavior in response to Do Not Track signals.

Children

The Site and our membership are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Other websites

The Site may link to websites and services we don’t control. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle your information.

Where information is processed

Founder Suites is based in the United States, and we and our service providers store and process information in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the date at the top. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Our Terms of Use also apply to your use of the Site.
